Women's Ministry

The Women's Ministry at Crossings Church desires to create a Christian community that draws  people in our Community to Christ through loving witness and service

Jesus reached out to the unexpected and unacceptable people in His day—and in His day, this was women.  He considered them more than worthy to sit and learn at His feet.  He cast out demons from Mary Magdelen, and she was the first one to see Jesus after His resurrection.  He befriended a woman who had been married five times—and her life change and witness of Jesus led to many in her town entering that personal relationship with Him.  He allowed women to travel with Him, to fund His ministry, and to share in the joy of an intimate relationship with His Father.  This is what the women at Crossings Church should strive to do.

In general, women desire friendships; we love to “do lunch” or “go for coffee” to share life with each other.  We sometimes struggle with our relationship with Christ and desire to grow and deal with life’s problems.  As we undertake different studies that deal with life and that will lead us into that deep, intimate relationship with God or fellowship with other women with different activities, we realize that, just as II Corinthians 3:5-6 says.

II Corinthians 3:5-6 (New Living Translations)

"It is not that we think we are qualified to do anything on our own. Our qualification comes from God.  He has enabled us to be ministers of His new covenant. This is a covenant not of written laws, but of the Spirit. The old written covenant ends in death; but under the new covenant, the Spirit gives life."

Through service, prayer, study, and reaching out to others, the Women’s Ministry of Crossings Church strives to draw women of all nationalities, faiths, and backgrounds into that intimate personal relationship with our uncreated Creator—the Giver of eternal life.
